Today I did my shot in the class room. At first it was weird but I got used to it. My friends watched me do it. My teacher watched me too! I was doing it when my friends came over. I got to be first in line when we were leaving the computer lab. I did my shot in my tummy. I was going to ask my teacher if she wanted to do it but I will just wait till tommorow.

You're so awesome Kacey! I hope that when Jada is old enough, she'll be able to take care of herself as well as you do! I have a question for you- does it hurt to take the shot in your tummy? Which is your favorite spot for a shot? Jada has never had a shot in her tummy and is afraid it will hurt too much. Her favorite spot is her "tushy" (that's what she calls her rear end!).
ReplyDeleteThank you Mrs. Amy. No it does not hurt to put it in my tummy because my tummy has some fat on it. I do it on the side of my tummy, in the back of my arms, the top of my legs and then I get my Lantus in my bum. My mom showed me a picture of Jada. She is pretty!

ReplyDeleteShe's seen your picture several times and I've told her that you have type 1 diabetes, too. Today- she saw you and said "There's that girl who's like me!" :)
